We made a very silly mistake witb our first example of interfacing with the microbit i/o pins.

It quickly became obvious that the side we soldered the wires to, was not connected to anything. Something that we failed to check beforehand, a lesson learnt!

After looking around for a suitable interface, we found the Kiktronic Inventor’s Kit. It contains a prototyping plate on which an Edge connector breakout board, and mini breadoard, can be attached.

The micro:bit can now slot into the edge connector…very neat!

The kit also contains enough components to perform a few informative experiments.

We found a Funduino i2c backpack for a HD44780 16×2 character lcd.
